**Introduction**

This job posting requires an engineer who has extensive experience in designing magnetic micro-inductor & micro-transformers for DC-DC power convertors using FEM simulation and analytical methods.

**Your Job**
- Designing magnetic inductors/transformers using FEM simulation.
- Delivering accurate finite element model to circuit designers.
- Driving the development of magnetic material deposition process by working with process engineers.
- Material characterization of magnetic materials.
- Analyzing characterization data of inductors.
- Design experiments & draw up device split plan for various tape-outs.
- Liaise closely with the integration team to drive timely wafer fab-out.
- Work with reliability team for development of qualification plans.

**Requirements**:

- A Ph.D. in micro-electronics engineering with a specialization in device micro-fabrication & design or a Bachelors/master’s degree in electrical engineering with 3-5 years of experience in device design/simulation & micro-fabrication
- Must have experience in magnetic micro-inductor/micro-transformer design for power management ICs
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in FEM simulation using software packages such as Ansys/COMSOL/CST is a must
- Knowledge of S-parameter measurement and its analysis to derive inductor electrical characteristics is required
- Understanding of Silicon micro-fabrication process such as PVD, etch, etc is desirable
- Strong background in electromagnetics is necessary
- Knowledge of soft magnetic material and their characterization is an advantage
- Some experience in buck/boost convertor design will be an added advantage
- Have a collaborative attitude to work with cross-functional teams such as electrical-test team, process engineers, reliability team etc
