We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Ad-Hoc Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work remotely most of the time, with occasional on-site client meetings as required. As an individual contributor, you will collaborate directly with the management team to design, develop, and implement hardware solutions tailored to client specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Hardware Design and Development**: Create detailed schematics and layouts for electronic circuits, including printed circuit boards (PCBs), processors, memory modules, and network components.
- **Prototyping and Testing**: Assemble and test hardware prototypes to validate design concepts, ensuring functionality and performance meet specified requirements.
- **Client Interaction**: Engage with clients to understand their hardware requirements, providing technical expertise and recommendations to develop customized solutions.
- **Documentation**: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals, to support manufacturing and client understanding.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the management team to align hardware designs with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs) such as Verilog or VHDL.
- Experience with PCB design and layout tools.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
- Understanding of signal processing and data acquisition.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and teamwork.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with FPGA design and implementation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with simulation and testing tools for hardware validation.

**Work Environment**:

- **Hybrid Model**: Primarily remote work with occasional on-site client meetings in Singapore.
- **Flexible Hours**: Manage your schedule to meet project deadlines and client needs.
