Engage Referral Lab for new interface set-up.*
- Review Statement Of Work (SOW) and meet with Project Management as needed.
- Work with management to determine administrator for set-up.
- Contact Referral Lab for initial interface discussion and ensure delivery of start-up
documents to client.*
- Collaborate with Referral Lab to finalize RLI agreement for optimal data delivery.*
- Obtain final approval from Referral Lab on RLI agreement.*
Build new Referral Lab Interfaces.
- Create and maintain Referral Lab electronic and/or paper interface documentation.
- Add entries into Referral Lab spreadsheet.
- Submit sFTP requests for secure connections with Referral Laboratory.*
- Request creation of directories in data repository (Saturn) by IT / VMS.
- Define RLI formats in Realm.
- Develop and execute UATPs (User Acceptance Test Plans) for file transfer validation
Ensure Referral Lab Data Quality
- Manage the flow of order and result files.
- Revalidate Referral Laboratory modified set-ups.
- Maintain and distribute Referral Lab-specific documents.
- Perform manual resulting as needed.
Represent Referral Lab Interface (RLI)
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Technical Administrators, proactively and
reactively regarding study questions.
- Liaise between External Data Resulting Services (EDRS) and Referral Laboratory
contacts.*
- Interact with Investigator Support to resolve queries.
- Consult Medical Affairs as needed.
- Manage and resolve issues within Specimen Management.
- Initiate data changes to Data Revision Center and revise all non-compliant requests.
- Partner with other Covance departments and provide support and process
improvements as needed.
Ensure client service globally.*
- Support peers by sharing technical knowledge and customer service skills.
- Provide coverage for peers as needed globally.
Maintain continuous learning objectives.
- Complete on-boarding training.
- Participate in Covance Corporate training.
- Complete mandatory QA training sessions.
- Attend mandatory meetings.
- Participate in job-shadowing or inter-departmental development opportunities.
- Participate in on-going training initiatives regarding process and systems changes
and/or updates.
- Complete advanced training for continuing development.
- Manage training folders and update documentation as needed. Create and review
standard operating procedures and other documents in a timely manner.

- Train peers on RLI functions in Realm, the data repository (Saturn), the Covance
database (Zavacor) and the overall problem-solving process as it relates to interfacing
with the Referral Laboratory.*
- Support other department training as needed.
Assist in audits.*
- Present the RLI resulting process upon request.*
- Research questions and provide Referral Lab-specific documentation.*
- Request and deliver result data from the data repository (Saturn) and archive tapes as
needed.*
Record RLI activities required to track workload and productivity.
- Update departmental metrics tools.
- Provide monthly reports to management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
