**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform cell culture in various formats (microtiter plates, tissue culture flasks etc.).
- Cryopreservation of cell lines.
- Maintain daily maintenance and QC protocols.
- Conduct RT-PCR.
- Conduct immunofluorescence assay (IFA).
- Prepare slides with mounted cells for IFA.
- Acquire IFA images using digital microscopy.
- Record and upload results to relevant databases.
- Maintain clear and accurate laboratory records and notebooks.
- Identify and report unusual results/outcomes.
- Support lab personnel in editing SOPs.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment at all times.
- Maintain an inventory of laboratory reagents and supplies.
- Ensure that lab is audit-ready and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in improvement to lab processes.
- No pre-existing medical conditions that will interfere with the ability to perform above job responsibilities (e.g., asthma, latex allergy, slipped disc, sweaty palms).
- Must satisfy Hepatitis B and/or influenza vaccinations prior to deployment.
- Observe the 5S principles in lab.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- BSc Degree or Diploma in Life Sciences or Life Science-related discipline.
- Minimum 1-year hands-on cell culture or similar laboratory-based research experience.
- Familiar in some forms of microscopy including light and fluorescence microscopy.
- Experience conducting multiplex ELISAs & IFAs.
- Experience conducting RT-PCR assays.
- Not afraid to handle infectious material.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
- Good team-player.
- Accuracy and good attention to detail.
