**About the position**

We are looking for a Senior Jewellery CAD Designer with factory experience creating fine/high jewellery. You will be responsible for creating CAD for new designs with an expert level of jewellery modelling skills.

We are looking for a talented, skilled and creative problem solver; who is also able to work to high standards and operating processes. You will draw upon your experience and work within a team to create detailed, accurate 3D models from provided technical drawings to create fine jewellery and findings for our ever expanding catalog of designs.

This role reports to the Design Department Manager, and works alongside Conceptual Designers within the department.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Interpret 2D hand / digital sketches into a 3D environment.
- Create advanced 2D Technical and 3D CAD models.
- Create renders for approval.
- Continuously learn and understand how CAD software works.
- Assist in software testing during times of new development and contribute ideas for potential improvements.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English or Chinese. Both would be a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong mathematics skills
- Parametric CAD software knowledge required
- Advanced jewellery knowledge required

**Experience**:

- A background in 3D Modelling and jewellery production is required with 3+ years experience.
- Intermediate 3D animal modelling is required.
- You need to be MASTER of either Rhino3D/Matrix or JewelCAD software
- Understanding of the Product Design and Development processes with emphasis on CAD
- You need to know how to advise the rest of the design team on suitable mechanisms for designs.
- Must possess a good understanding of material cost to manage the budget set aside for each design.
- Deep understanding of creating models to meet production requirements i.e. working with multi-tone gold jewellery.
