**About the Role**:
**We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as the Director of Jurong Pilot Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our state-of-the-art pilot plant and chemistry development laboratories, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate with various departments in R&D and Global Supply Chain to drive innovation and continuous improvement.**:
**This role will report to the Vice President Global Clinical Manufacturing within Clinical Supply Chain and will be responsible in leading a cross-functional team of 57 people in the scale-up and manufacture of drug substance for clinical studies, secondary development and site stability batches.**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Oversee the daily operations of the Jurong Pilot Plant, ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.**:

- ** Manage the annual plant budget of > 10 million pounds, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.**:

- ** Identify, develop, design and establish facilities to implement new modalities as required by the R&D portfolio. Manage capital projects up to 20 million pounds within the existing team.**:

- ** Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance plant capabilities and efficiency.**:

- ** Ensure timely and accurate reporting of plant performance metrics and progress towards goals.**:

- ** Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, incorporating best practices into plant operations.**:
**Qualifications**:

- **A strong educational foundation with a Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or Engineering is required.**:

- ** Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, as well as an advanced degree is preferred.**:

- ** Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within a pilot plant, kilo lab or manufacturing environment.**:

- ** Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.**:

- ** Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.**:

- ** Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.**:

- ** Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.**:

- ** Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.**:

- ** Experience in budget management and resource allocation.**:

- ** Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.**:
