Cloud Server Specialist

The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all integration of functions meet business goals
- Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements
- Recommend product customization for system integration
- Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
- Advise or mentor junior team members
- Impact the engineering function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services

**Qualifications**:

- 8-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
- Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
- Project Management experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
- Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred

Cloud platform SME for DBaaS (Database as a Service). Primarily responsible for DBaaS Cloud platform operations for OraaS (Oracle as a Service),MaaS (MongoDB as a Service), MSaaS (MS-SQL as a Service).

The responsibility includes
- Install, configure and manage UNIX and WINTEL servers on cloud platform
- Experience in Windows Administration, Configuration Management, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Cloud Implementations
- Experience in VM, AWS EC2 instance, OpenStack instance, Azure Instance Installing and Configuring Servers based on requirements from client.
- Experience in patching, Package Installation and configuration on RedHat LINUX and WINDOWS servers.
- Experience on OS upgrade on both LINUX and WINDOWS
- Experience in Automation using Ansible, Autoban, Chef, Python, PowerShell Script.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting performance related activities
- Intimate Knowledge of the WINDOWS/Unix Operating System and system administration best practices
- Understanding of Oracle RAC and MSSQL Server database installation and design
- Strong knowledge of File system/ASM storage
- Knowledge in system monitoring such as TIVOLI, SCOM, BMC etc
- Strong knowledge in configurations management and security product’s
- A solid understanding and working experience in LDAP and Active Directory
- Must possess knowledge of networking concepts like TCP/IP, OSI model, IP addressing and subnetting, Firewalls, etc.,
- Skilled in performing detailed RCA, Performance analysis and fine tuning.
- Experience in overseeing patch and security compliance of UNIX servers and WIDOWS
- Adequate exposure to any public cloud deployments (IaaS and PaaS), preferably Microsoft Azure, AWS
- Experience supporting in HP or equivalent Intel/AMD based servers
- A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands
- Strong experience WINDOWS/Unix/LINUX Operating System and system administration best practices
- 8-10 Years of Oracle RAC and MSSQL Server database installation and design
- Strong knowledge of File system/ASM storage
- Strong Knowledge in system monitoring such as TIVOLI, SCOM, BMC etc
- Strong Knowledge in automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, DMA etc.
- Strong knowledge in OpenShift, ECS, PCF
- Knowledge in private, public and hybrid cloud operations, Deployment of EC2 instances.
