JR35235 Technical Program Manager, Consumer SSD

Are you prepared to lead a dedicated cross-functional team to greatness? As a Consumer SSD Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Micron Commercial Products Group, you will enable and support our SSD product development and supporting teams to deliver programs on schedule and to specification with high quality by following Micron’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes. A successful TPM will understand the various SSD subsystems, the SSD development and qualification processes, the nuanced give and take of product development efforts, and how our consumer SSD products make their way to market.

As an independently functioning Technical Program Manager, you must collaborate effectively with other functions and organizations around the world to support a successful product delivery into high volume manufacturing. This work will involve product definition, project planning, creating and maintaining schedules, managing risks, managing project/product budgets, management of product validation and characterization work, cross-functionally managing and tracking qualification requirements, and providing product support to Micron's customer facing organizations.

**Job requirements and deliverables include but are not limited to**:

- Understanding and executing Micron’s SSD Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process
- Hold cross functional teams accountable to the schedule and Boundary Agreements
- Partner with CPG Product Line Management to deliver programs in-line with the published roadmap and other product plans.
- Hold engineering teams accountable for meeting standard interim and final product milestones that achieve their respective requirements/criteria
- Manage product/program budgets in partnership with Product Line Management
- Drive program alignment amongst between all cross functional teams to ensure all low-level dependencies are captured and tracked
- Provide accurate and current program health and tracking metrics weekly to all stakeholders
- Track drive build plan usage post-delivery into development teams
- Generate program status reports with inputs from cross functional teams that include technical status, schedule, risk, quality and other program health metrics
- Drive the completion of technical product specifications that meet market requirements
- Work with other TPMs and process owners to continuously improve SSD processes
- Demonstrate and model for others effective use of Micron’s tools and processes

**Minimum qualifications**:

- 1-3 years technical program management experience, including familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- 1-3 years or equivalent experience in electronic/semiconductor system development, preferably SSD or other mass data storage system
- Knowledge of storage integration into client/consumer systems as well as an understanding of the consumer storage ecosystem is a plus
- Proven track record of successfully delivering concurrent, multiple complex programs in a dynamic environment/industry
- Strong meeting leadership, collaboration and influencing skills that result in clear problem resolution and go forward plans
- Demonstrated successful work with internal and external cross functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communications skills with engineering, management and executive audiences
- Demonstrated quick learning in new situations with high level of self-motivation, passion, entrepreneurial drive, and dedication
