**Job Description Summary**: Responsible for the design of and generation of engineering drawings for various type of fixtures & gages used in the repair of aircraft engine components. In this role, you will work with engineering, operations, quality teams, and tooling fabrication suppliers to ensure all tooling specifications and technical requirements are met.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Design fixtures and gages used for repair processes utilizing 2D/3D CAD software.
- Ensure tooling design meet repair intent, conforms to technical specifications and EHS requirements.
- Draft engineering drawings of fixtures and gages for vendor fabrication and calibration.
- Provide technical assessment and engineering analysis for tooling evaluation, Gage Repeatability/Reproducibility and MSA studies.
- Support shop production and industrialization activities by providing expertise on tooling improvement/modification recommendations to minimize product workmanship and rework losses, increase productivity and reduce set-up time.
- Work closely with the NPI engineering team to support on time delivery of the NPI repair development and industrialization plan.
- Effectively collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other functions to support business objectives.
- Effectively collaborate and manage tooling suppliers to ensure that the tooling fabrication are executed to specification, on time and on budget.
- Ensure that all engineering designs and technical data are accurately completed and documented to provide an accurate technical/historical base for future reference and to meet customer / end user requirements.
- Bring new ideas and positive support to the current tooling process and resolve technical or process issues arising during the development of tooling.
- Support and participate in Lean initiatives and utilize Six Sigma tools for process improvements.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical / Aerospace or other relevant Engineering discipline with knowledge in CAD software.
- Diploma in Engineering from a local polytechnic with knowledge in CAD software, and with a minimum 3 years of relevant Tooling Design and Drafting experience may also be considered.
- Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and various CAD Design practices.
**Desired Characteristics**
- Good understanding of manufacturing and inspection tools and processes used in the aerospace MRO.
- Working knowledge of product blueprints, engine manuals and NX CAD software will be an advantage.
- Good time management and strong organizational skills, with ability to multi-task to meet deadlines and customer needs.
- Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn. Good communication skills, accepts constructive feedback, and incorporate other's suggestion in work.
- Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively. Team player.
