Department overview

ING's Wholesale Banking ("WB") country coverage team covering corporate and investment banking ("CIB") activities in both Indonesia and Vietnam, is looking to hire an intern to cover transactions out of its Singapore team.

WB country coverage team fulfils a central role in the origination, structuring and execution of event driven, transformational, complex and multi-product CIB advisory and financing solutions for our most strategic Indonesia and Vietnam clients. The team focuses on strategic advisory and fundraising options across all sectors, working alongside with local relationship managers and the various product teams to structure, originate, execute those CIB transactions.

CIB transactions include leveraged/ structured financing, project & export financing, capital markets, merger and acquisitions, financial markets and strategic capital investments.

An enthusiastic and highly driven local teams of c.7 professionals focussing on ING's Indonesian and Vietnamese client base. The team is involved in high profile deals with significant internal and public exposure. Given the size of the team you will quickly be given opportunity to grow and develop by taking ownership of parts of the different client projects.

Duties and responsibilities- Work alongside RMs, Sector, and Products, as the coverage team member providing the strategic advice or solutions across the capital structure - Doing country-wide, industry and peer group analysis-
- Preparing pitch books regarding integrated debt, equity financing solutions and valuation- Assisting and analysing due diligence information and review transaction documentation- Contributing to execution across all afore-mentioned transactions and / or products - Engaged with others departments/disciplines, such as Sectors, Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Syndications, DCM, Financial Markets and etc.

What are the skill and qualification requirements of the role?

Qualification background- Banking, Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, or relevant disciplines may apply- Good academic grades- Fluent in English and preferably also in Mandarin given a large client base in Greater China- Relevant experience in corporate finance, banking and finance roles, or from the accounting firms, would be an added advantage
