- requiring excellent interpersonal skills to work with charterers and ship owners from all parts of Asia,
- fast thinking on the spot with the ability to compile market info from snippets of conversation,
- creativity in solutions proposed,
- tenacity to source, chase and close deals
- confidence in presenting business proposals to clients
