**What the role is**
- The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children, families and vulnerable adults (VAs). Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending. As part of the RPG family, the Adult Protective Service (APS) is a statutory service that leads in the policies and processes to safeguard the safety and well-being of individuals, families and vulnerable adults experiencing violence, abuse or neglect.
**What you will be working on**
- Your role is to work closely with government agencies, social service providers and other relevant stakeholders to develop the capability of professionals in the Adult Protection Sector. You will have opportunities to work closely with internal stakeholders and service providers to develop and implement learning and development initiatives to develop the competencies of adult protection professionals. As a Senior Officer/Assistant Manager, you will: - Develop and implement operational processes in the referral and management of vulnerable adult (VA) abuse and/or family violence (FV) cases in the community - Analyse learning needs of adult protection professionals - Develop and deliver learning materials - Facilitate learning across multiple delivery modes e.g. implement processes to analyse effectiveness of learning delivery methods and materials - Assess potential opportunities to integrate technology and systems with curriculum - Service provider management, which includes designing vendor requirement specifications, managing vendor selection process and contract management
**What we are looking for**
- Functional/Technical Competencies: - Experience in designing and delivering learning facilitation and evaluation - Able to conduct needs analysis - At least 2 years of relevant working experience in learning and development, social services related jobs will be an added advantage Behaviour Competencies: - Strong aptitude in relating to different stakeholders and achieving win-win outcomes - Demonstrates a growth mindset, proactiveness and resourcefulness Generic Competencies: - Strong facilitation, analytical, writing and presentation skills - Good planning and project management skills - Good eye for details and comfortable with numerical figures
