**OVERALL PURPOSE of JOB**:
He is responsible for day to day project supervision for new construction/conversion/repairs of commercial/naval vessels. He will also ensure work assigned is carried out effectively and productively in order to meet No. 47 Shipbuilding and Repair Quality Standard.

To ensure quality assurance on work completed to achieve delivery deadline and target.

**ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Briefing and Deployment of Workers (Sub-Contractor / Yard) a) Update daily deployment record and conduct toolbox meeting on safety highlight to work. b) Planning of Over Time for approval c) Give daily target to workers (Shipbuilder and Welder)

2. Inspection of site work a) Inspect readiness to work b) Confirm accesses to work areas are clear and safe to work c) Monitor work progress, if delay, check cause of delay and rectify immediately d) Give technical advices to Chargehand/Workers

4. Supervise workers at work site a) Re-deploy workers if they are unable to complete work due to obstruction b) Check daily progress of work area and deployment card

5. Planning for following day work a) Update job done into control plan

6. Resolve technical issues with EDC

7. Ensure all workers have sufficient PPE and comply to the requirement

8. Inform PPD to DRL materials for planned job

9. Prepare and submit field report to owner and SRM for approval QUALITY:
SPAN of CONTROL:Recommended: Responsible for 4 Chargehand / 48 Workers (Yard)Recommended: Responsible for 4 Supervisors 48 Workers ( Sub-Contractors)

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Able to read and interpret construction drawing
- Experience in shipbuilding standards
- Prepare to work long hours on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
- Prepare to work night shift or travel for work and adapt to different working conditions.

**KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS**:

- Shipbuilding experience in welding and fitting. Preferably with certificate.
- SSSC qualification EXPERIENCE:

- Preferably 3 - 5 years of working experience in Marine Industry or similar capacity

**EDUCATION, Qualification and Special Training**:

- Diploma / Degree in Engineering field
- IT knowledge
- Complete Lifting Supervisor course an advantage
