Materials Procurement Sr Representative

On behalf of the Order Fulfillment Organization, he/she will lead a group of business representatives towards the development and implementation of a detailed and comprehensive Global Commodity Strategy. He/she will also lead, drive and get involved with cross Functional GPM programs and initiatives.
- Establish a network of commodity team members representing the various manufacturing and New Product Introduction sites. Serve as a mentor and point of reference/escalation for extended team members
- Investigate, define, document and lead the implementation of Global Commodity Strategy to meet the current and future needs of our businesses & establish a supply chain that provides competitive advantage
- Lead in the identification, assessment and selection of suppliers to meet existing and emerging business needs. As required, establish & execute exit strategies (need arises)
- Establish appropriate supplier relationship models which best match R&D/ manufacturing footprint and business needs in-line with the capabilities of the suppliers
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with senior management levels both internal and outside suppliers
- Initiate and negotiate contracts for assigned commodities. With the aid of financial and risk analysis techniques to develop a strategy for conducting business negotiations and managing the contracts on an ongoing basis
- Develop a cost effective and flexible NPI proto-type solution that allows the PL/businesses to meet Product Life Cycle & Gross Margin goals
- Deploy an appropriate range of performance measures with goals and control limits. These should be reviewed and published on a regular basis
- Establish supplier management programs utilizing the MOR and TQRDC methodology to monitor and manage the performance of Strategic/Core suppliers to ensure the provision of benchmarked performance
- Responsible for the implementation of leading edge supply chain techniques and procurement processes requiring innovation and business insight, to facilitate improved supplier and business performance
- Maintain a broad knowledge of the latest industry/supplier/technology trends and procurement practices and their potential impact on business plans
- Play a global role & maintain close linkages with key contacts across all Groups and strive towards common goals
- Work with the suppliers to achieve GCM cost reduction objectives through annual (mínimal) contract pricing negotiation
**Job Qualifications**:
- Bachelors or Masters or University Degree (Business, Engineering) or equivalent.
- Requires 6-8 years relevant experience and/or breadth of expertise in a professional procurement / supply chain related environment
