Role Overview

The Client Advisor is the first touchpoint for prospective students and parents, and works towards building relationships with them and becoming a trusted resource and key point of contact throughout their journey with IvyPrep.

You will share and promote IvyPrep’s services and create a positive and impressive experience leading to an engagement opportunity. In the process of doing so, you will work closely with students to understand their aspirations, develop a strategic roadmap aligned with their profile, and recommend a personalized plan of suitable programs to support them in achieving their goals. Once students are onboarded, you will then connect the students with a diverse team of consultants and tutors / mentors to maximize their academic capability and improve their overall profile.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. You should also enjoy working with young individuals and are motivated and flexible working in a dynamic and fast paced team.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to student / parent enquiries (online and in person), promote IvyPrep’s services and hold consults with prospective clients in a professional manner and that aligns with IvyPrep’s brand and culture

Develop deep knowledge of overseas university systems, testing requirements and latest developments / trends in admissions and testing, and be able to share them with students and parents to guide them towards selecting options best suited for the students

Understand students’ academic goals and aspirations, and strengths and weaknesses, and build a personalized plan for students with the recommended test preparation and consulting programs and the respective consultants, tutors / mentors

Based on recommended plan, discuss options and costs with parents / students and follow through to engagement

Follow up with prospective clients in a timely and effective manner, and address any remaining questions / concerns clearly and satisfactorily

Maintain regular communication with students and parents along their journey in IvyPrep to check on student’s progress

Address any questions / concerns and ensure students’ needs have been met, and recommend any potential additional services to maximize student’s performance

Develop strong relationships with clients to drive referrals and upsells

Gather student feedback and reviews, and collect student results after the release of admissions outcomes / test results

Contribute to the writing of articles / resources to provide tips, insights or latest trends in admissions / testing that are beneficial for students

Participate in researching and generating ideas to reach and connect with prospective students / parents, and be involved in the execution of the ideas

Offer any insights to enhance areas of sales engagement and product development, in light of ever-evolving client needs

**Requirements**:
Degree from a reputable local or overseas university

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills

Growth-oriented mindset and goal/objective driven

Ability to work well independently and reliably in a small, fast paced team environment

Good organizational skills and attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines

Willingness to learn and go the extra mile

Minimum 2 years of experience in a client advisory / consultative sales / relationship management / business development role
