Roles & Responsibilities

Does the olfactory realm of aromatic plants and fine fragrances always fascinate you? Do you want to create a meaningful impact on improving people’s mental wellness and emotional health using your skills and experience as a perfumer?We’d love to have you in our team
**Responsibilities**
- Lead the creation and development of simple, yet bespoke perfumes & formulations using natural ingredients and essential oils
- Assist in the set up and operations of our DIY Natural Scents Studio
- Play a key role in conducting experiential natural scent workshops and teaching olfaction techniques to our customers
- Design and deliver custom formulations for our B2B clients ensuring desired aroma profile, safety, benefits and cost
- Assist in sourcing of raw materials and also in the quality control of production samples
- Support physical and chemical assessments of raw materials and blends, working closely with 3rd party labs
- Be instrumental in handling technical database/documentations including aromatic, chemical profiles of raw materials and formulations
- Periodically conduct market research and analyse trends & developments in the areas of functional natural perfumery and aromatherapy
**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience working as/with a perfumer with working knowledge of composing accords, weighing-out formulations, etc.
- A strong bias for utilising only natural ingredients & essential oils in formulations/blends
- Knowledge of common analytical testing techniques such as GCMS is an added advantage
- Self-starter with an infectious drive & motivation; a strong sense of ownership and time management skills
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills
- Degree/diploma in chemistry, perfumery, cosmetic science, or related field
