**Job Title**: Assistant Store Manager - Florist

**Job Summary**:
As an Assistant Store Manager in the floral industry, you will take on a leadership role to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our floral store. Your responsibilities will encompass managing and mentoring staff, overseeing day-to-day operations, optimizing inventory management, fostering a deep understanding of the flower business, and providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, you will lead by example and contribute to the overall success of the store.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Team Management**: Supervise and motivate store staff, providing guidance and training as needed, and ensuring a positive work environment. Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations.

2. **Operations Oversight**: Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring a visually appealing store display.

3. **Inventory Control**: Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of fresh flowers and floral supplies. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste.

4. **Flower Business Expertise**: Develop an in-depth knowledge of the floral industry, including flower types, seasonal availability, and trends. Use this expertise to guide staff and assist customers in making informed choices.

5. **Customer Service Excellence**: Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service. Assist in resolving customer inquiries and issues, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

6. **Ad-Hoc Leadership**: Collaborate with the store manager in various projects and initiatives to enhance store performance and efficiency.

7. **Financial Management**: Assist in monitoring and managing store finances, including tracking sales, expenses, and profitability.

8. **Tidiness and Presentation**: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times, creating an inviting shopping environment for customers.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Polytechnic Diploma / A-level or equivalent; additional education in business management or related fields is a plus.
- Leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using computer software for inventory management and record-keeping.
- In-depth knowledge or strong interest in the floral industry.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Flexibility and adaptability to address challenges and make decisions in a dynamic retail environment.

**Working Conditions**:
This role involves working in a dynamic retail environment, including weekends and holidays to meet customer demand. It requires effective leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead and support a team in providing exceptional customer service. The assistant store manager plays a critical role in maintaining a clean and appealing store, ensuring inventory availability, and contributing to the overall success of the floral business.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Late shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- 13th month salary
- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

**Education**:

- GCE 'O' Level or GCE 'N' Level (required)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 1 year (required)

License/Certification:

- Class 3 Driving Licence (required)
