**Public Policy Associate Manager**
- 6 months contract role
- Hybrid work model - required to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Would need to attend early morning / late evening calls due to cross-regional meetings

**The Opportunity**

We are looking for an analytical thinker with experience in policy, government, business operations, or law to join our client's Core Policy team. The team's mission is to create and communicate rules for products that empower expression and foster a safe environment for people using the apps.

Job Responsibilities:

- Help craft and implement content policies that take into consideration the needs of a global community.
- Collaborate with Policy, Product, Operations, Communications and External Stakeholders to drive policy improvements.
- Act as a global escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues. Be the on-call POC for escalations at regular cadence.
- Help articulate policy philosophy, launches, and changes to relevant parties, including management, operations, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Public Policy, Communications, Operations, Product, and Legal.
- This role may involve exposure to potentially graphic and/or objectionable content including but not limited to graphic images, videos, audio, and writings, offensive or derogatory language, self-injury, animal abuse, and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing.

**Your Background**

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years experience in policy, government, project management, law, or operations
- Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience
- Experience communicating cross-functionally, particularly in the area of consensus-building and persuasion
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with potentially graphic and objectionable content

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Meta products and principles
- Law degree, MBA, MPP, or other advanced degree
- Experience in or with the technology industry
