**Background**:
Guan Chong Berhad (“GCB”) was incorporated in Malaysia as a public listed company on 22nd March 2004 and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on 8th April 2005 under the symbol “GCB”. GCB is headquartered in Malaysia and have operations throughout its subsidiaries around the world.

**Job Overview**:
GCB Cocoa Singapore (“GCBCS” or “the Company”) is one of the subsidiaries of GCB. GCBCS is a trading company that performs the sustainability related efforts, marketing and procurement matters for its factories based in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia and Batam, Indonesia.

We are currently seeking a Corporate Sustainability Executive to assist in the Company’s CSR and sustainability initiatives. The Corporate Sustainability Executive will work closely with the Heads from various departments and Economic, Environmental, Social (EES) Committee on planning and implementation of various initiatives. He/She will be responsible to liaise with various internal and external parties, research on key industry sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) trends, and assist with the sustainability performance reporting and ongoing sustainability projects, under the guidance of experienced personnel in the Group.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the CSR team lead with planning and implementation of initiatives
- Work closely with the EES team lead on liaising with stakeholders, planning, and implementation of initiatives
- Coordinate the reporting process and prepare the annual Sustainability Report for the organization under the guidance of the experienced personnel in the Group
- Assist in carbon accounting and reduction projects
- Assist in developing sustainability policies within the organization
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate sustainability projects
- Support with EES and CSR meetings, including communications, note-taking, etc.
- Research on best practices, policies and tools on industry sustainability best practices

**Job Structure**:
This position is a full-time position reporting to Elsa Tay, Sustainability Strategy, Commercial Director. The position is open to applicants based in Singapore and/or Malaysia.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management, Engineering and business majors
- Passionate about Sustainability and making a difference
- Fresh graduates are welcome
- Excellent research and technical skills, ability to synthesize information from various sources including public datasets, industry standards/best practices and estimation
- Familiar with sustainability principles and frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.
- Strong communication skills, and ability to present findings in a thoughtful and concise manner
- Entrepreneurial working style, ability to work independently and problem-solve
