Manager (Communications Capabilities)

You will join the People's Association (PA) Communications Group, to be part of the team that drives the growth of communications capabilities in PA. We seek a communications manager to develop targeted messages and create engaging content for PA's communications teams. Your role will also involve planning and supporting learning activities, including developing resources, managing training registrations, delivering and evaluating learning programmes in collaboration with partners.
This position requires strong writing skills, content design abilities, and the capacity to work effectively across teams. You will hone your skills in crafting messages and creating content for diverse audience segments. You will also be part of the team spearheading communications-related learning and innovation in PA.
Key duties and responsibilities that need to be performed to meet the primary objective of the job:
1. Support the planning and organisation of learning opportunities to enhance the communications capabilities of PA staff, GRLs and volunteers.
a) Coordinate within PA and across partner agencies to design learning programmes for staff and volunteers with communications roles.
b) Support in organising learning events like courses, workshops, webinars, Community of Practices (COP) for staff and volunteers. Coordinate logistics for such activities, including scheduling, invitations, developing publicity materials, and managing event communications.
c) Compile the responses from post-training evaluations and prepare reports on effectiveness and areas for improvements.
2. Create messages and content
a) Craft targeted messages to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively
b) Produce impactful content, like learning resources and publicity collaterals, to engage PA communications practitioners
c) Support the team to conceptualise and execute event designs and themes for learning events, from ideation to production.
3. Provide administrative support for the team
a) Manage training calendar, documentation, and coordination of team meetings.
b) Maintain accurate records of communications initiatives, training sessions, and engagement activities.
c) Maintain and update communications assets, including templates, resources, and content databases.
d) Effectively utilise and manage operating budgets required for projects.
4. Other duties

b) Conduct procurement activities as required and comply with the procurement requirements of projects.
c) Prepare reports for update to management and stakeholders.
d) Participate in workgroups and other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
- At least one year’s relevant working experience.
- Good written, oral and presentation skills.
- Interest in people development.
- Analytical, resourceful, good inter-personal skills.
- Proficiency in English. Knowledge of a second language (Chinese, Malay, Tamil) will be valuable to the team.
