Commercial Operations Exececutive, Gas Supply

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The role will be responsible for operational administration of gas contracts, scheduling of gas operations and invoicing. The incumbent will be required to maintain close co-ordination with external stakeholders - authority, transporter, terminal, customers, and internal support functions, to ensure that company’s obligations under the respective commercial agreements are diligently performed. The incumbent will also be required to support other activities within the Commercial Operations function and should be open for a rotation of job scopes within the Commercial Operations function.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operational administration of contracts with suppliers and customers
2. Engagement with LNG terminal and transporter, including dealing with counterparties and other market participants.
3. Monitoring/management of customers as well as overall capacity, scheduling and gas flows;
4. Monthly and Annual Hydrocarbons reconciliation, verifying and processing payment to suppliers, transporter, terminal and ensure accurate generation of invoices to the customers
5. Entry of all data into systems, update and maintain all data accuracy and integrity in a timely manner and maintain necessary spreadsheets for related tasks or to facilitate operations;
6. Engage with the Authorities on matters relating to the obligations of the company.
7. Support all other processes and procedures and perform any other duties and participate in any other projects as assigned by reporting manager or his delegated authority.
8. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any other issues related to commercial operations.
9. Managing in-house IT systems, including resolving system issues and participating in projects to automate/optimize/enhance business processes, costs and incorporate new business/market changes into the IT system
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Degree or Diploma in Business or Engineering related discipline
2. At least 1 year of commercial operations management experience and dealing with counterparty operations in Natural Gas related environment would be preferred.
SKILLS, COMPETENCES AND PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS
1. Good understanding of Singapore electricity and natural gas market including gas network code and gas transportation will be considered favorably.
2. Mature and confident in independently engaging/collaborating with team members to build productive working relationships and to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team. Strong communication and coordination skills, ability to handle varied and complex commercial & operational issues with Internal and external stakeholders.
3. A strategic thinker with an eye for details and ability to multi-task/work under pressure to make sound decisions.
4. Willing to take on standby duties and be contactable outside normal working hours to react and complete operational tasks.
