CI is one of the global leaders in using natural climate solutions (NCS) to combat climate change. There is

significant growth in the demand for high-quality conservation projects that can access the voluntary and

compliance carbon markets and CI is rapidly expanding their portfolio of high-quality carbon projects and

technical assistance to carbon policy initiatives to meet this demand. CI Asia Pacific (CIAP) has recently

launched the Asia Pacific Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), a multi-donor facility, to provide technical

support and invest in NCS projects and enabling conditions. Projects include REDD+, landscape restoration

and management, and blue carbon mechanisms.

Based out of the Asia Pacific Field Division (APFD), CI is seeking a Senior Coordinator to provide technical

support to the APFD NCS team by managing sub-grants from the AP TAF to CI country teams and external

efficient and effective distribution of grants to projects that align with our conservation mission.

The senior coordinator will be responsible for ensuring an efficient distribution of grants and tracking the

expenditure of the grant towards deliverables outlined in the grant agreement. He/she will also be responsible

for maintaining a record of projects that have received TAF funding and provide support in monitoring the

performance and impact of NCS projects that receive TAF funding for internal and external reporting purposes.

As a member of the APFD NCS team, the Senior Coordinator will work closely with the Pipeline management

team on overseeing the project pipeline of NCS leads and opportunities and provide administrative assistance

to facilitate the tracking of leads. Additionally, the Senior Coordinator will support the Pipeline management

team in reporting to APFD Senior Leadership.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the APFD NCS team to administer and manage grants provided by the TAF to CI country programs and external partners, ensuring proper documentation throughout the process.
- Work closely with Operations teams, to ensure that processes and documentation are in compliance with CI policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with signed grant agreement and monitor project progress towards timelines, deliverables, and funding terms.
- Assist in financial tracking and monitoring the performance and impact of NCS project that are allocated TAF funding, helping to ensure data collection and evaluation are carried out effectively.
- Contribute to periodic reporting and presentation materials on the progress and outcomes of NCS projects to TAF donors, APFD leadership, other CI departments that the team works closely with external stakeholders, highlighting key impact metrics, outcomes, challenges and opportunities for improvement. Assist in note-taking for meetings related to NCS TAF.
- Support the NCS Project Analyst with the origination pipeline of new NCS project opportunities, keeping track of project status and steps necessary to continue engagement and develop project documentation. Attend regular project origination meetings.
- Assist in identifying potential projects and partnerships that align with CI's conservation objectives and NCS TAF criteria for grant disbursement.
- Provide administrative support to the APFD NCS team, including scheduling meetings with NCS leads and project partners, preparing agendas, and maintaining documentation.
- In alignment with priority policy initiatives of the APFD NCS team, provide coordination support between the team and the APFD policy team.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the management APFD NCS project database, to track and monitor new NCS project leads and opportunities.

**PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES**
- This position will require managing and monitoring of budgets.
- This position does not directly manage staff, but requires coordination with the work of CI country program staff and partners.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Natural Resource Management, Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience of 2 to 4 years in project coordination, grant management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with financial and legal aspects of grant management, including budgeting and compliance.
- Prior experience working in a non-government organization, conservation organizations or carbon-related projects is a plus.
