Based in Singapore, the role will focus on Corporate Finance advisory services (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic advisory) and related activities and will be involved with originating and executing Corporate Finance transactions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Strategy & Development:

- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the corporate finance and M&A business in Southeast Asia, aligned with the bank's overall objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and market trends to expand the bank's presence and increase deal flow in the TMT and/or Energy sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, institutional investors, and industry stakeholders to foster business growth and drive revenue generation.

Deal Origination & Execution:

- Proactively originate M&A transactions by identifying potential target companies, assessing their strategic fit, and evaluating their financial and operational performance.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on target companies, analyzing their financial statements, business models, market positioning, and competitive landscape.
- Structure and negotiate complex M&A deals, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, ensuring optimal terms and conditions for clients.
- Collaborate with legal, tax, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations throughout the deal execution process.

Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of corporate finance professionals, including analysts, associates, and vice presidents, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Provide guidance and support to team members throughout the deal lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
- Oversee resource allocation, workload management, and performance evaluations to maximize team productivity and efficiency.

SPECIAL DUTIES:

- Cross-sell and promote other products / services of the bank, as appropriate, to customers.
- Collaborate with other ING departments and country teams on joint marketing initiatives with customers.
