Client Coverage Specialist - TMT Sector


Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Client Coverage Specialist to join our team and focus on developing business opportunities with TMT sector clients in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of client relationship management, cross-selling skills, and a strong understanding of the TMT sector.

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow existing client relationships and onboard new TMT corporate clients;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to originate cross-selling activities and maximize revenue growth;
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain sound credit quality while expanding the TMT corporate portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate banking customers, identifying business potentials, and supporting overall business growth;
  • Coordinating with TMT Sector Heads and Global Sector Teams to support client business expansion across BBVA footprint countries;
  • Delivering high-quality underwriting recommendations and preparing business proposals with associated income forecasts;
  • Maintaining regular client contact for daily servicing matters and ongoing account monitoring;
  • Working closely with product teams and risk teams to develop strategic plans for client growth;
  • Liaising with legal and compliance departments to complete documentation and KYC procedures;
  • Preparing internal reports to facilitate strategic business planning and management decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A university degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field (master's degree preferred);
  • Proven experience in client coverage with a focus on the TMT sector in Southeast Asia;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure as part of a dynamic team.
