**GENERAL FUNCTION**

a) Oversee all technical and process development in the NPI of components & sub-assemblies to ensure the derived solutions are sustainable in production environment.

b) Train and develop all resources under his responsibilities to work effectively to meet project timeline and budgeted cycle time / resources.

c) Continuous effort to develop next generation engineering resources for their skills, knowledge improvement and preparation for future personnel and company growth.

d) Expertise in developing Process and Equipment in their respective Field of Specialization with scientifically driven data and solutions. Conduct technical review and analysis to Engineering and management team for each project / studies.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

A) New Product Introduction

(1) Self Driven as Technical Lead / Process Lead in New Product / Projects Implementation in developing sustainable solutions.

(2) Participate in machine and resources budgeting for NPI projects that will involve cycle

times, equipment configurations, assembly and automation process concepts etc,

(3) Participate in DFM to review tooling or automation designs to ensure the most effective solutions are derived. Record all key areas of discussion and actions taken to mitigate all identified risk factors for production

(4) Provide on-the-job training for Technicians or engineers who are supporting NPI projects.

(5) Conduct trials, machine FAT according to specified procedures established by company.

(6) Participate in new Project FMEA, Risk Management Analysis, Mass Production Readiness Level ( MRL ) analysis etc. Perform tracking to ensure MRL is meeting expectations.

B) Others

(1) Develop and implement all corrective and preventive actions for discrepancies and problems to prevent recurrence. Records all lesson learnt for sharing.

(2) Develop, plan and implement New technologies / Processes to build in house technical competencies and manufacturing capabilities.

(3) Review and endorse work instructions, measurement / inspection / functional test instructions and all subsequent changes in other departments such as Quality, Materials Department to ensure they are established to meet the necessary quality standards and requirements.

(4) Propose and implement ideas to increase productivity and quality standards in the company.

(5) Support Production in special Projects / Initiatives to improve production yield, enhance

quality performance, increase machine capacity, expand production space / facilities

(6) Propose and implement ideas to continuously improve plant safety

(7) Train and upgrade the technical knowhow and skills of technical resources in the company

(8) Spearhead Engineer Apprenticeship program to train, coach and develop trainee Subject Matter Experts.

(9) Introduce and implement new technology or processes that can create breakthrough in capabilities or productivity.

(10) Develop Meiban patented processes or technology that can further strengthen our position as technical leaders in our services rendered to our customers.

Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum: Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
- Hands on in respective Specialized field and Secondary processes, with at least 10 years’ experience in similar manufacturing environment
- Good technical knowledge in terms of fundamental and scientific analysis in their respective field of expertise
- Creative thinking and passion for engineering development and breakthrough
