CSIT develops digital products to advance the national security interests of Singapore. We are looking for talented software engineers with a passion for technology and a desire to grow their technical competencies to build digital products that transform organizational effectiveness and improve workforce productivity.
Our product teams build web and mobile applications using cloud-native technologies and enterprise COTS/platform integration to deliver feature-rich applications that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience (4Es). We adopt an agile delivery approach focused on user-centered design.
As a Staff Software Engineer (Enterprise Systems), you will lead the technical design and development of software applications. You will be responsible for technical competencies, involved in hiring, and exploring emerging technologies and best practices.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Product Managers to design and develop application system architecture.
Lead the team in design, development, testing, and debugging of applications.
Provide technical leadership and foster technical growth within the team.
Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices such as software quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
3-5 years of professional experience in JavaScript (ES5/6) and Java.
2-3 years of experience in full-stack web application development.
Experience with Git source code management.
Experience with microservices architecture and REST API design.
Experience applying Agile SCRUM methodology.
Proficient in solving problems with software.
Advantageous Skills
Familiarity with React front-end development.
Experience with Spring Boot development.
Experience with cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (MSSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with Elasticsearch.
Note: As CSIT is under the Ministry of Defence Singapore, only Singapore Citizens will be considered.
