Location: West Area
Our client is one of the largest manufacturing company in the Gas Turbine. Currently it is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop an expanded understanding of company’s business and accounting practices, systems and procedures;
- Perform variety of accounting functions and will perform a high level of compilation with a broad range of analysis work.
- Review clerical input, advise salaried employees and entry level accountants, generate reports and provide related commentary.

- Provide feedback. Incumbent works on challenging, low to medium risk issues and makes decisions and recommendations as appropriate. Work will be directed by an accounting supervisor primarily through review of progress and results.
- Perform financial accounting duties including preparation of journal entries, raising of invoices, etc.month end and year end activities to be performed with deadlines
- Support the month end and year end accounting close process by assuring the completion of quality check and validation on journal posting, analysing financial and non-financial results and investigating variances
- submission of month end financial data and explanation of fluctuation and variances
- liaise with internal/external auditors, tax agents as and when required
- development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures
- prepare account reconciliations and follow up on action items
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent; professional accounting qualifications will be an advantage.
- 5-6 years of accounting experience is required.
- Previous experience with Big 4 public accounting firm or multinational company will be added advantage.
