As a Payment Integration Specialist, you will focus on integrating diverse payment file formats into our platform, enabling clients to seamlessly pay their employees through various banking systems worldwide. Your expertise will ensure that our clients can operate efficiently, regardless of their location or the banking infrastructure they use.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process client requests and implement new payment file formats (e.g., bank-proprietary formats, domestic fixed-length or CSV-based formats, and ISO 20022/XML implementations) within Deel's platform.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide technical support throughout the integration process, ensuring smooth implementation and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with external banking partners to facilitate smooth integration processes.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to improve the system’s capability to support diverse payment formats across global banking networks, enhancing both usability and scalability.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the onboarding of new payment formats, increasing efficiency and reducing time to implementation.
- Develop documentation and training materials to assist both clients and internal teams in managing payment integrations effectively.
- Stay updated on global payment processing trends and emerging technologies to enhance Deel's payment integration capabilities.

**Qualifications**:
**Technical expertise**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation to implement file formats.
- Understanding of file structures, structured data formats such as XML and JSON, and data transformation techniques to ensure accurate processing of payment files.
- Experience with basic scripting, terminal-based operations, and advanced text editors such as VIM or an IDE to support integration tasks and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of APIs, SFTP and automation tools is advantageous.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in a fintech or global payroll company.
