Key Responsibilities:

- Build, configure, and customize AIX systems on standalone servers and LPARs.
- Design and implement Virtual Networking and NPIV (N_Port ID Virtualization) on AIX environments.
- Administer and maintain the NIM (Network Installation Manager) Master for efficient AIX OS deployments.
- Set up and manage Virtual I/O (VIO) servers, including installation and configuration of AIX on LPARs using NIM.
- Monitor and perform system performance tuning and infrastructure troubleshooting to ensure optimal uptime and stability.
- Build and manage Linux physical servers, supporting a hybrid UNIX/Linux enterprise environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and ongoing operations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience as a UNIX System Administrator in enterprise environments.
- Bachelor of Technology or similar relevant education background.
- Expert-level knowledge of AIX operating system, including LPARs, VIO, NIM, and HACMP.
- Strong experience with virtualization technologies and network configuration in AIX environments.
- Hands-on experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of UNIX systems.
- Solid experience in Linux server builds and administration.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery practices, patch management, and system security.
- Ability to write and maintain shell scripts for automation and system maintenance tasks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with enterprise-grade storage and SAN environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.Exposure to cloud integration with UNIX/Linux environments is a plus.
