Our client in global supply chain and transportation networks is looking to hire a Financial Controller, keen for immediate overseas posting to Middle Eastern Region.

This role is to manage the overall financial performance of the overseas business comprising operations across three locations by providing professional advice in driving business direction, decision and participation in strategic projects.

**Some of the key responsibilities will include**:

- Oversee the financial activity, including but limited to revenue and expense transactions, budgeting and forecasting, stakeholder reporting and statutory audit.
- Oversee procurement and tender activities including but not limited to tender assessment, submission for approvals, contract review and negotiations.
- Oversee ESG activities including stakeholder(s) sustainability objectives, payroll management, risk management, regulatory and stakeholder compliance.
- Drive superior performance through deep analysis of business and financial performance of the overseas business for strategic planning, capital budgeting decision and allocation of corporate resources, and propose cost-reduction and profit-improvement measures
- Derive relevant insights and formulate short term and long-term business strategy towards value growth and creation for business units.
- Actively engage and liaise with various stakeholders to support issues management, financial performance analysis and other financial matters.
- Play a pivotal role in improving internal controls and financial processes for continual improvement.
- Streamline finance processes through adoption of suitable technologies to enable timely, quick and accurate reporting for better decision making
- Ensure adherence to legal guidelines and Internal Control Procedures Manual to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics.
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals

**To be eligible for this role you will require**:

- Degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA & equivalent with min 8 yrs & above experience in financial accounting, accounting operations with overseas exposure will be advantageous.
- Self-motivated, highly curious, possess a keen eye for details and willing to be ‘hands-on’ when needed
- Possess strong leadership qualities, solid analytical and effective business partnering skills to liaise with people of all levels, including JV partners and Senior Management.
