**About The Role**

In this role, you will be part of the APAC Uber Eats Team. You may partner with team members across these verticals, as well as with strategic finance, strategy & planning and other cross-functional stakeholders to work on 1-2 stand alone special projects which will require in-depth understanding of the business and its products, processes, and risks/opportunities and market competitive environment. You will be driving strategic analysis and insights, and make critical recommendations to influence and aid leadership in key decision making for the regional business.

**What You'll Do**
- **Special projects**: the key objective of this internship will be to take on 1-2 special projects across (but not limited to) the various topics: (1) Market competitive assessment on commercials and product features, (2) Key product launches, focused on program growth, (3) Deep dives to improve unit economics and drive initiatives with x-functional teams, (4) Support efforts across strategic experience related initiatives - Magical experience, courier quality and / or merchant quality, and more
- **Sophisticated financial modeling**: build models from scratch, improve existing models, and capture complex business reality/dynamics and interactions into comprehensive models and leverage those to assess trade-offs, propose solutions and drive better decision making
- **Think strategically and execute**: the models we build aid in decision making and strategy - we operationalize our insights and support daily execution. This is not a backwards looking role - we are responsible for helping the business make decisions, put our foot in the ground, and run at it
- **Innovate**: Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets in finance and data & analytics using spreadsheets, SQL, and Python.

**What You'll Need**
- Self-starter: You will take initiative, be dedicated, set and drive toward goals
- Problem Solving skills: You will be tackling problems that the business is encountering for the first time with very mínimal industry precedences to reference to. The ability to critically identify the root causes and create initiatives to solve the problem is key.
- Attention to detail: Consistent with swift execution
- Collaboration: Working closely with x-functional team members and building trust through projects will be key to unlock success
- Excellent communication and people skills: Numbers are key, but a business is built with people and it takes good storytelling to convey the numbers in a way that they will land with impact
- Elite Excel skills: Best practices are second-nature, your models are efficient, scalable and intuitive
- Working SQL would be great for the heavy analysis we'll be doing
- Commercial experience is good to have
