**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Designs portions of engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for low to moderately
- complex products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and development technology guidelines, while ensuring cost effectiveness.
- Participates as a member of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners and works towards ensuring products and solutions developed are reliable, and high quality.
- Develops and implements parameters and test plans for existing designs, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements.
- Conducts inspection of performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency; identifies corrective action of problems and deficiencies.
- Optimizes concepts and designs with analytical and physical assessments, to further increase efficiency and quality.
- Delivers designs and other program deliverables on time and within budget.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development.
- Develops conclusions, recommendations, and written reports, contributing proactively through research and data analysis support, and sharing knowledge to foster a knowledge management culture.
- Develops new acceleration techniques, analytical tools and quality screens to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products.

**Education & Experience** Recommended**
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design, engineering design tools and software packages, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
