**About the job**
The Red Hat IT team is looking for a Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will provision, manage, monitor, and decommission cloud services. You’ll need to have knowledge of and experience around technologies and techniques for increasing adoption and best practices for voice, video, chat, mail, and calendar technologies. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

**What you will do**
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s strategic business plans
- Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to business systems analysts, communications engineers, and other systems architects
- Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT architecture and infrastructure, and technology portfolio
- Develop and manage an infrastructure capacity plan
- Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a technology standards policy
- Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility
- Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
- Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems
- Develop and run test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance; report on findings and make recommendations for improvement
- Build the long-term strategic roadmap for all IT systems architecture in line with business priorities and objectives
- Maintain a holistic view of the organization’s strategy, processes, information, and technology assets
- Partner with senior IT associates and business leaders to act as an advisor to IT strategic planning efforts
- Help business leaders clarify their objectives and expectations for technological innovation efforts
- Facilitate digital strategy decisions through consulting and support in delivery
- Introduce and accelerate new technologies and methodologies to support digital transformation
- Assess the current IT environment and develop a future state IT architecture
- Lead the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects
- Lead the design and management of reference architectures
- Partner with other solution architects to provide scalable and adaptable architectural solutions
- Manage and facilitate a review board to evaluate project proposals for architectural fit
**What you will bring**
- 6+ years of experience working as IT architect
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering or a related field
- Extensive experience with developing strategic plans
- Practical experience with business requirements gathering or analysis
- Proven experience in systems design and development
- Solid understanding of information processing principles and practices
- In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), MacOS, and Windows
- Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including SIP, TCP/IP, RTMP, DHCP, BOOTP, TLS, XMPP
- Excellent knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and practice
- Proven project planning and management experience
- Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Ability to think big and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refreshes and hype
- Ability to guide business culture and technology change in a dynamic environment
- Excellent leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid consultative and interpersonal skills at a cross-functional level
