**ROLE SUMMARY & PROFILE**

ING has developed a direction to support its clients' sustainable transitions in its Wholesale Banking business. ING has received high rankings in sustainability indexes and is considered a leader for its integrated approach of sustainable business into the Wholesale Bank. Furthermore, ING is a global leader in the sustainable loan and bond markets.

The Sustainable Finance team is growing as a strategic team, and provides sustainable financing solutions to clients globally and through its regional hubs in Amsterdam, Singapore, and New York. The Singapore based team leads the sustainable financing business for existing and prospect clients within the Asia Pacific region.

We are seeking to recruit a bright, proactive and articulate team player who is to be an integral member of our award winning sustainable finance team.

The role requires an individual who is outgoing, has strong written and oral communication skills, can work closely with others and with limited supervision. A demonstrated passion for sustainability, good commercial banking experience and / or sustainability-related experience are important factors. You will work closely with the existing team members, and with other teams within the bank to be a trusted partner to our clients in their sustainable transitions.
**Key Responsibilities**

You will be supporting the senior team members across all relevant origination and execution work streams across a variety of different sustainable finance products including green bonds/loans, sustainability-linked bonds/loans, sustainable derivatives as well as sustainability-related advisory. You will report to the Head of Sustainable Finance Asia Pacific with the following responsibilities:

- Manage the preparation of client pitch books and the development of related content to support the team’s client pitches
- Lead client pitches with mínimal supervision
- Support the team’s efforts to create and manage relationships with clients, experts, advisors and industry bodies
- Support the team’s efforts to enhance internal and external profiling to put ING's sustainable business initiatives on the map for employees, clients, peers, and other stakeholders
- Support the team’s efforts to continue innovations in new sustainable finance products and structures to solve real issues and identify new growth markets
**Key competencies**
- High level of self-motivation. Passionate that a sustainable change and impact is needed and is willing to be a trailblazer to ‘take it on and make it happen’
- Minimum 6 years of relevant commercial banking experience (in areas such as lending, debt capital markets and/or deal structuring) and / or of sustainability-related experience (within or outside the banking sector)
- Strong presentation and communication skills with outstanding relationship building capabilities
- Able to present complex topics to a senior client audience
- Effective and demonstrated team player, helping others to succeed
- Able to multi-task, work under pressure, and adjust quickly to changing priorities
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Quick learner and an adaptable mindset
- Detail oriented and analytical
- Graduate or post-graduate degree holder in Business/Finance and / or sustainability related academic background or other relevant disciplines
