**About the role - you will**:

- Develop embedded firmware using Security algorithm in C for storage devices
- Validate new and existing ASIC Security hardware and write drivers to control them
- Work with global team on resolving problems detected internally or externally
- Exercise your independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Be part of the team that bring protects the product from ever growing security threats
- Be part of the team to develop and integrate new security features to the product
- Optimize and improve existing platform security stack and libraries

**About you**:

- Bachelor/Master/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, and/or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities and be able to readily applies critical thinking.
- Demonstrate communication skills and ability to articulate technical issues.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining architecture and firmware solutions. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.**Your experience includes**:

- Fluent programming capabilities in one or more languages such as C, C++, assembly, Python, etc.
- Understanding of micro-controller and its interaction with firmware.
- Familiarity with Cryptography (RSA, AES, Hash functions, Public Key Cryptography, post-quantum cryptography (PQC)
Experience in using firmware and hardware development tools (emulators, trace, version control, oscilloscopes, compilers, linkers, and analyzers).
- Interest in working security and storage security protocol standards (TCG, NIST, ISO, CC, FIPS, etc.)
- Familiarity with UEFI, Secure Boot

The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center.
