**Responsibilities**:
Firmware Design
- Create firmware functional specifications by understanding product and system requirements.
- Create high level and detail firmware design specifications for product.
- Develop codes for product firmware, module firmware test and inspection firmware.
- Conduct design review and code review to obtain design approvals.
- Analyze, debug and fix firmware bugs with emulator, reference board and prototype board.
- Create documentations for design know-how, procedures & process output.
- Conduct continuous improvement to increase design productivity.
- Coach and guide juniors on design related tasks.
- Research, benchmark, get approval to purchase design tools.
- Support to prepare drawings for product prototype and mass production.

Firmware Test
- Understand and translate system & functional specifications to define test requirements.
- Create test plan, setup requirements, test cases, procedures, programs, scripts, reports.
- Perform test (functional, module, performance, regression) & verify with product specifications.
- Find and report firmware bugs to design engineer. Support design engineer to reproduce bugs.
- Conduct test review (test plan, test cases, program, scripts, reports) to obtain test approvals.
- Test to verify firmware bugs fixes provide by design engineer.
- Identify and create solutions to automate manual test cases.
- Prepare, install test setup according to product requirements.
- Create documentations for test know-how, procedures & process output.
- Conduct continuous improvement to increase test productivity.
- Coach and guide juniors on test related task.
- Research, benchmark, get approval to purchase test tools.

**Requirements**:

- Degree/Diploma in Computer or Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++.
- Experience in Assembly, Python, VBA, Ladder Diagram, Structured Text programming, exploratory testing and test automation are added advantages.
- Basic understanding of electronic circuit.
- 3 to 9 years hands-on experience in embedded firmware design, coding, debugging, test case programming, scripting and testing.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative and ownership.
- Able to work independently within tight schedule.
