Position:
The P&R Global Platform Strategy Modernization Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful modernization of our payments infrastructure globally, to better serve our client needs and identify new business opportunities. This business role is focused on developing the overall business strategy for our platforms and for adapting our infrastructure to delivering solutions for targeted client use cases and driving business growth and innovation. This position plays a key role in developing the business case, making strategic platform decisions, and measuring the benefits these projects bring to the franchise.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate across all levels of the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help define and implement the strategic platform modernization roadmap for the next 3-5 years.
- Manage the program governance. Drive adherence to agreed processes, procedures, and standards. Ensure that initiatives meet promised results.
- Work with the Global Product Heads and Regional Product Heads to capture their platform requirements, and integrate this into a holistic global platform strategy.
- Manages the delivery of the strategic platform roadmap
- Oversee the delivery of business objectives and work with product owners to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives and creates/maintains KPIs and KRIs associated to business goals.
- Set the standards and review senior management reporting and discussion materials to provide transparency and drive timely decision making
- Ensure risks and issues are properly identified and manages. Anticipate delays and solve issues that arise. Ensure optimal communication within the team and outside the team. Escalate as needed

Skills required:

- Financial Services Markets or Banking background
- Payments experience
- Platform experience preferred
- Solid proven experience in Product Management
- Ability and willingness to adapt to a fast moving change environment
- Strong communicator, written and oral across all levels of the organization, with ability to deliver succinct messages to senior sponsors across the firm
- Resilient and results oriented, with the ability to influence positive outcomes and deliver best class governance and controls
- Team player able to bring together wide range of individuals in pursuit of execution and progress
- Creativity. Adaptability, Drive and decisiveness to ensure decisions are reached quickly, minimizing debate
- Ability to clearly define roles and responsibilities delegating to the appropriate team members
- Forward planning, and problem avoidance and solving kills
- Leadership to drive execution while able to minimize tension and ensure the team operates efficiently
- Budget Management experience.

Experience / Qualifications:

- 15+ years in Product Management positions, preferably in Payments/Receivables roles
- Familiarity with payment processes: wires, ACH, Instant Payments, cross border payments in multiple countries..
- Ability to operate at different levels: to analyze issues, synthesize them. Develop themes. Understand risks, Translate lessons learned into actions
- Excellent communications skills to seniors, to clients.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
