Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join the Operational Resilience and Platform Engineering group based in Singapore. The Senior Network Engineer will be part of a team that practices site reliability engineering in building and providing infrastructure and tools for technologies that fuel Franklin Templeton services. We are the foundation on which products and technologies are built, providing secure connectivity to public and private services and giving you the opportunity to scale from traditional network engineer to cloud automation engineer through design, development, and operations of cutting-edge technologies.
- What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?- Design, plan, implement, and automate solutions to provide connectivity to public and private resources across the global environment-
- Act as the senior escalation point for operational incidents related to WAN, LAN, and cloud communications-
- Implement effective security strategies across all network environments-
- Develop automated solutions to provide high resiliency and operational efficiencies for all services-
- Ensure solutions comply with defined standards and appropriate regulatory guidelines-
- Participate in the major incident process to identify solutions for the most complex incidents-
- Develop long term solutions for ongoing problems-
- Create documentation and procedures for operations staff-
- Provide training for lower-level engineers to ensure they maintain the appropriate skill level for day-to-day operations- What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.-
- Minimum of 10 years of experience of progressive systems engineering and integration within agile focused organizations implementing complex solutions.-
- Solid experience designing, deploying, and operating WAN and LAN solutions-
- Expert level knowledge of SD-WAN routing including hands on experience with Velocloud or similar solutions-
- Strong knowledge of traditional network routing protocols such as OSFP and BGP-
- Hands on experience with security solutions including Palo Alto or similar technologies including on premise and cloud solutions-
- Experience in designing, managing, and scaling systems in public, private, or hybrid cloud environment-
- Understanding of the Linux and Windows Operating systems, standard networking protocols, and componentsAbility to design, author and develop code to automate failover, deployment, and management of networking solutions-
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with desire to resolve problems-
