Position Summary

Director Network Service Implementation reporting to the Head of Global Network Services leads the engineering implementation function across all network related project delivery activity - on time, to budget and within quality parameters. All while ensuring adherence to process, policies and standards across technology.

Role Responsibilities- Manages pool of implementation engineers - retained FTE, partner led and interim for dedicated project/programme delivery- Ability to manage prioritisation and take accountability for leadership and reporting across this function is key in a highly complex and demanding environment- Manages resource to ensure timely delivery to standards and quality and ensures the deliveries meet pre-agreed requirements as defined by D&E, Architecture and Business Stakeholders- Works with SRE function to deliver end to end capability and transition into service while meeting all BAU support requirements for highly available and fully operational service levels- Works closely with delivery function to ensure clearly visibility of status across all deliveries - with regular management reporting and instrumentation in place throughout- Ensures appropriate resourcing (volume, skills, capability, etc) to ensure that networks stay off critical path for all deliveries - escalation and reporting in timely manner such as to enable quick remediation of issues- Lead will have demonstrable experience and depth of understanding within Network, Security and Infrastructure technology domains (to include Cloud technologies) within Financial Services- Develops training and development plans for teams and individuals across function to increase knowledge, skill and capability of the function and ensures appropriate resourcing capacity (volume, skills, capability, etc)

Required Skills and Experience- Broad knowledge and experience across network, infrastructure and security industries- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of best practice across (and not limited to) Cisco, Arista, F5, Checkpoint, Palo Alto technologies-
- Experienced Leadership ability to motivate and influence both direct reports and stakeholders
