**Traineeship Description**

Beauty therapists perform various non-medical face and body treatments using their knowledge of skin biology, skin physiology, and cosmetic chemistry. They provide skin, body, face treatments and massage therapy.

**Duration of traineeship offered**

6 months

**Specific Responsibilities**

Individual to be involved in:
1. Perform beauty procedures for clients

2. Assist in monitoring the inventory of salon supplies and submitting purchasing requisitions when needed

3. Collaborate with the rest of the salon staff to keep the work area clean and create a pleasant atmosphere for clients

4. Attend company training sessions to learn how to offer more services at an expert level

5. Examining the client’s requests in order to cater to them in an effective manner.

**Competencies to learn**

1. Evaluating clients’ beauty needs by asking questions and performing skin analyses.

2. Providing facial and body treatments.

3. Performing various massage techniques on clients’ face, shoulders and back.

4. Explaining all treatment procedures to clients.

**Education and Qualifications**

GCE 'N' Level or Equivalent
