About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Underwriter to join our Liability Underwriting team in Wellington to drive new and existing Financial Lines and Liability business.

This role will see responsibility for:

- Preparing and communicating quotations, bindings, policy conditions and mid-term adjustments/ endorsements
- Negotiating rates/terms with brokers
- Following up offer of new quotations/renewals
- Updating reporting systems
- Development and maintenance of broker relationships including visitations to client offices which may include presentations
- Ensuring excellent service standards are maintained
- Answering broker enquiries
- Working effectively with the team to accomplish agreed underwriting goals

About You

A self-starter with great communication and organisational skills and a minimum of three (3) years Financial Lines or Liability experience with demonstrated knowledge of client industries and businesses and risks as well as market knowledge, good interpersonal skills and a passion for excellent customer service and building relationships. Enjoys working in a close-knit team and highly collaborative environment, is able to make decisions, a drive to grow the business through team success and a hunger for personal development.
