My client is an global HFT firm looking for a C++ Exchange Connectivity Development Lead to take the helm of a talented team focused on building and maintaining cutting-edge exchange connectivity solutions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of trading systems, while mentoring a team of developers and collaborating closely with trading teams to deliver on their technical needs. This is a unique opportunity to lead in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your work will directly impact the performance and success of my client’s global operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement high-performance, low-latency connectivity solutions for multiple trading venues.
- Lead and mentor a team of 8 developers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with trading teams to understand their requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity and system performance issues in real-time.
- Set team strategy, manage workloads, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our integration systems in a high-pressure trading environment.

**Looking For**:

- Proven experience in software development, ideally within a buy-side environment with a focus on low-latency systems, order management, or market data
- Strong expertise in high throughput systems, websockets, and low-latency communication protocols
- Fluency in C++ on Linux is required, along with excellent system design skills
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of inspiring and guiding high-performing multi-jurisdiction teams.
