Manager, Risk and Compliance

As the **Manager, Risk and Compliance **for New Forests’ operations in Singapore, this role is responsible for managing the end-to-end compliance risk management program. This role reports directly to the Head of Risk and Compliance, based in Sydney, Australia.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- Advising management on, and ensuring compliance with, applicable laws and regulations, including various MAS guidelines such as AML/CFT, outsourcing, technology risk management and periodic filings/notification to MAS.
- Advising management on the implementation of compliance risk management programs.
- Managing the business’ compliance risk management (CRMP) program; developing compliance risk management strategies and working closely with business heads to ensure that the processes are adhered to at the operational level.
- Liaising with auditors on risk management and compliance related matters.
- Supporting management in reporting to the boards on risk and compliance matters.
- Supporting the Risk and Compliance team in maintaining the firm’s risk & compliance programs.
- Advising management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations of a MAS regulated funds management company
- Participating in global and regional projects
- Educating and training employees on regulations, company policies and industry practices
- Keeping abreast of internal standards and business goals

**Qualifications and Experience required**:

- A depth of experience working in the financial services industry, preferably in the risk and compliance sector in the funds management, asset management, audit or consulting firm
- Good knowledge of Singapore's regulatory requirements, such as Capital Markets Services/Licensed Fund Management Company requirements, MAS Notices and Guidelines, AML/CFT regulations, and PDPA
- Prior experience liaising with MAS will be an advantage
- Experience in Risk and Control identification and assessment (including process mapping, risk profiling, control testing etc).
- Expertise in Excel or GRC tools, and Sharepoint is ideal
- Business degree or equivalent
