**Responsibilities**:
The Public Affairs Manager will oversee stakeholder mapping and is responsible for driving strategic stakeholder engagement, cultivation and partnership management, and developing engagement strategies - with a key focus on strategic matters of significance to the Group across the region. The Public Affairs Manager’s focus areas also include corporate reputation, issues & crisis management, strategic communications, and media and community relations. Ultimately, he/she shall play a key role in strengthening the Group’s reputation through both proactive and reactive PR strategies.
In this Role, you will get to:
International Relations - Manage/coordinate the development of collaborations and relations between the Group and international/regional bodies/associations in the region - with the objective to identify new partnership opportunities and develop synergies with these bodies/associations, including MOUs. - Monitor and understand emerging trends, policies and the external environments; coordinate closely with the business units and key cross-functional teams (including Legal and Finance) to assess and recommend responses/actions to international policy challenges or emerging trends, develop narratives, and engage key stakeholders effectively in the region. - Identify, plan, and support the Group’s C-level leaders at international conferences, including government-organised events, in the region.
Public Relations - Develop, define and execute PR communications strategies in consultation with respective stakeholders and business partners to increase group brand awareness across Southeast Asia.
Issues Identification & Crisis Management - Advance crisis preparedness, identify and address issues that may impact the Group’s reputation; develop strategies for communications and responses in the event of a crisis in the region and provide prompt advice to HQ accordingly.
Corporate Social Responsibility - Identify, recommend and execute new programmes relating to the Group’s ethical, sustainable and environmental responsibilities, while also ensuring a real/sustainable impact on local communities across the region. - Assess and make recommendations on requests for support on CSR-related campaigns and activities across the region, including assessing the needs of beneficiaries, budgetary and resource planning, and evaluation of project impact on the Group’s objectives while ensuring alignment of all CSR campaigns’ goals across the region.
Corporate Awards - Support the regional PR managers in identifying and pitching for top awards strategically, including those relating to the Group’s business focuses, such as Marketing-focused awards.
