InfoComm Infrastructure under Centre for IT Services (CITS) is responsible for the engineering and operations of Enterprise and Learning Systems, Data Centers, High Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, Storage, Connectivity (Network), Data Services, O365 & OneID, Site Reliability Platforms, End-user devices, File & Print Services as well as Level 2 IT support to all departments and schools.

Successful applicant would be r esponsible for the planning, designing and project management to all network tech refresh, digital network security and transformation projects supporting TEF. He/She will also be responsible for management of a high availability, high speed performance and enhanced secured network backbone infrastructure to support the University in the areas of learning, teaching and research.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Project Management**
- Plan, design, implement and manage 5G, Wi-Fi 6, secure edge network, using state of the art technology.
- Participate as a key member in the design and architecting of network Infrastructure for upcoming buildings, as well as the refresh of the Infra in the current buildings.
- Manage the IT resources including contracted manpower.
- Manage the Vendor which includes the tracking and control of their performance.

**Manage the University’s LAN and wireless network**
- Sourcing, developing, automating, and improvising network monitoring system to proactively monitor the health of network devices.
- Maintain the documentation to ensure that it is updated, including end-user guides.
- Manage the SLA to ensure high availability.

**Prepare and conduct training on the provision of network services.**

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in systems and network administration in a MNC or government sector.
- Experience in Education sector will be an added advantage.
- Experience in network automation scripting, Ansible, Python, Perl, REST API
- Experience in configuring networks for fast, secure, reliable operation.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and network diagnostic tools.
- Certification Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) or Network Professional (CCNP)
- Certification in ITIL foundation
- Knowledge in the use of network management systems and devices, firewalls, wireless controls and technology, network stadards including 5G, and network protocols (e.g., HSRP, VRRP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with equipment from Alcatel, Aruba, Cisco.
- Knowledge in network function virtualization (NFV), software defined networking (SDN) including OpenFlow, Netconf, etc.
- Good Knowledge of Internet security techniques, network forensic, latest protocols and defenses against new viruses and other attacks.
- Good Knowledge in Linux, Windows system administration will be an added advantage
- Good project management skills.
- Good stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in assessing network performance.
- Good planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
