DESIGNATION : Designer (Assistant Director)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Design is central to Gardens by the Bay. Every year, millions of visitors are drawn to discover wonder at the Gardens thanks to thoughtfully designed immersive experiences, from iconic Supertrees and enchanting events to the attractions, landscapes and amenities that are constantly developed or improved. As an established professional, you will combine creative thinking with rigorous analysis to address various design challenges and opportunities, while preserving the Gardens' unique identity. Design of the Gardens' signature floral displays is central to this job scope. You will also have the opportunity to work on high visibility architectural, landscape, interior, wayfinding and graphic projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Changing floral displays**: As a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of horticultural, design, education and communications professionals, you will research, conceptualise and design changing floral displays like Sakura and Tulipmania. You will create conceptual images, perspective and technical drawings, and specifications for prop procurement. You will work closely with stakeholders, colleagues and vendors to implement displays to high standards, and within approved budgets and timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design or related design disciplines.
- Minimum 6 years relevant postgraduate design experience.
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketchup/3D, and relevant artificial intelligence tools (e.g. Midjourney).
- Familiarity with horticulture and the use of plant materials in design is a bonus.
- Self-motivated, proactive and can multi-task under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative and able to build good relationship with peers and stakeholders.
- Excellent visual communication and verbal presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
