Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Chief Engineer to carry out the following tasks:

- Manage, monitor, and supervise the progress of design works to ensure timely submission of design deliverables.
- Ensure proper record filing and documentation of all the project and design information and submissions.
- Arrange and lead in technical meetings, discussions and workshops including preparing meeting materials and to ensure proper meeting records are kept.
- Regularly update of design progress to the Chief Engineer.

2. Carry out independent design review of all the design submissions including reports, calculation, analyses and drawings etc. and review of cost-benefit analyses of proposed design schemes.

3. Responsible in ensuring the design works are complied with project requirements, Code of Practices, Authorities’ requirements, standard and regulations.

4. Monitor the design submission timeline and ensure all the relevant Authorities’ clearance are obtained timely.

5. Coordinate and liaise closely with the design team including Chief Engineer, Qualified Persons, deign specialists and various design disciplines (infrastructure, C&S, geotechnical, hydraulic and environmental team) and to conduct regular design progress meeting with the team.

6. Coordinate and manage the client, specialists, stakeholders, Authorities and Agencies and any other project parties for the smooth execution of the works.

7. Provide technical advises to the client on design, technical and statutory matters.

8. Assist in tender documents preparation, tender calling and tender evaluation.

9. Equipped with good problem-solving and planning skills for the overall planning and of the project and to resolve technical issues arising from the works.
- Requirements:

- A civil/structural/geotechnical engineer holding minimum a bachelor’s degree in Civil, or Structural or Geotechnical Engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant civil/structural/geotechnical engineering design experience (after tertiary education).
- Familiar with Authorities submission requirements and process such as BCA, LTA, PUB and NParks etc.
- Good in civil/structural/geotechnical/infrastructure design such as retaining wall or ground improvement or drainage design, as well as familiar in ground investigation and instrumentation works.
- Familiar with land reclamation, port & jetty and/or coastal engineering project, as well as having prior experience in design of quay wall, wharf structures and offshore structures are preferred.
- Familiar with relevant code of practices including Eurocodes, Singapore Standard and British Standard.
- Familiar in engineering design software, e.g. STAAD Pro, Prokon, ETABS, SAP2000, Plaxis, GeoStudio etc.
- Strong written and fluent verbal communication skills in English.
- A good team player with good communication and planning skills.
- Discipline, self-motivated, responsible and highly proactive.
- Skillful and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
