Singapore MS AMLIN ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. Full time

**1. PURPOSE
The purpose of the role is to assist the Finance team with the month end, quarter end and year end process to close the period and prepare associated reporting throughout the calendar year.
- Support the Reporting Team in ensuring the monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes occurs in a controlled and timely manner;
- Support the Finance Manager in ensuring the quarterly and annual regulatory reporting processes are prepared in a controlled and timely manner;
- Provide support during internal/external audits and tax reviews;
- Support the production of balance sheet schedules and intercompany statements, including investigating and resolving differences;
- Support the Reporting Team in escalating significant accounting or reporting issues in a timely manner for further discussion and resolution;
- Engage and support the Finance Team in specific finance projects; and
- Effectively communicate with other areas of the business including, but not limited to: underwriters, claims handlers, actuaries, treasury and other finance staff within the Singapore Platform.

**2. KEY RESULT AREAS
The role is a member of a team supporting the Finance Team in controlling the ledgers of the Singapore Service Company and its Hong Kong Branch, the Labuan Service Company as well as the Kuala Lumpur Branch of MS Amlin Corporate Services. The role also includes supporting the reporting the underwriting balance sheet accounts and profit and loss movements for the Syndicate’s Singapore and Labuan’s operations. The role reports directly to the Finance Executive.

**Ledger maintenance**
- Maintenance of financial records for 2 service companies and 2 Branches by analysing Balance Sheets and General Ledger (“GL”) accounts.
- Reconcile the GL and assist with the preparation of financial statements; including accruals, fixed-assets, revenue recognition & variance analysis
- Prepare monthly journal entries (such as correcting entries, allocating expenditures, grant related entries, etc) and account reconciliation for assigned general ledger accounts and balance sheets.

**Group Reporting**
- Prepare monthly management reports for service companies and Branch
- Prepare monthly tax journals for Tax Clearance
- Prepare monthly HFM journals for Group Reporting
- Prepare quarterly Group Reporting Pack for Group Consolidation

**Regulatory Reporting**
- To assist to monitor the progress of various reporting deadlines
- Prepare the monthly Hong Kong Core Market Returns
- Prepare the quarterly Labuan Financial Services Authority Returns and External Asset Liability Report, including variance analysis.
- Prepare the quarterly MAS Returns, including variance analysis.
- To assist with the preparation of any reports that are required by Singapore Finance. Local Management, any departments within the Group, Lloyds Asia or the local Regulators.

**Other Reports**
- To assist in preparing and draft responses to queries on the ECI and annual tax returns for MS Amlin Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. with the Tax Department
- To prepare the monthly premium and claims report for Management
- To assist in maintaining the business plans vs actuals for Singapore, Hong Kong, Labuan, China and India
- To assist the Finance Team in any other reporting tasks or projects relating to reporting
