**About this role**
Arup collaborates with globally influential bodies and institutions to push for step-change outcomes in issues like climate resilience, energy efficiency, the circular economy agenda and the push for greater infrastructure resilience. This role will accelerate Arup’s capability to externally influence, win and deliver projects that enable our ‘better way’ objectives.
This is a strategic leadership role in which you will have the objectivity and potential to look at the broader picture and a keen desire to excel and grow a successful business. You will have access to Arup’s global expertise and innovative reputation in the Climate and Sustainability sector to help differentiate our value proposition in Southeast Asia.

**What will I do?**
- Articulate and follow through with vision and plan for climate and sustainability services in Singapore and SEA. This is done thru promoting and communicating Arup values across the business and geographies.
- Develop a holistic local business plan as part of the strategic regional business plan for growing the business and pipeline of work, mapping out which clients and projects Arup will target, what types of work to pursue and identifying the most appropriate partners for each where relevant.
- You will champion the development, design and management of large, complex, long-term projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints.
- You will be lead and manage the current and future overall performance of the office. As part of the management team, you will establish and energise a local network of relevant professionals and communicate with the regional and global business network.
- Work with the service portfolios and skill networks to build market-focused capability. In where you will identify key strengths and areas of development of Staff. You will champion the recruitment, appraisals, performance development, morale and motivation of staff.

**What will I bring?**
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in Climate and Sustainability sectors
- Wide-ranging skills spanning advisory and specialist technical services and the demonstrated experience of executing them on a range of projects within Climate Services and Sustainability.
- An excellent understanding of the climate change sector with strong existing networks of key clients and decision makers.
- Strong business development and client management experience, with the ability to develop effective pursuits and client strategies.
- You will have the commercial/financial awareness and understanding of the implications of economic and political trends in the local market.
