Esplanade’s vision is to be a performing arts centre for everyone, and it seeks to enrich the lives of its community through the arts. The centre’s programming is guided by its mission - to entertain, engage, educate and inspire. The underserved communities are an important part of the “everybody” Esplanade serves - these include vulnerable children and youth, the elderly, persons with special needs as well as those who are marginalized.

We are looking for an individual to plan, conceptualise, implement, co-ordinate and review of a wide array of on-site, off-site and online community engagement activities, designed to cater to different community sectors. The jobholder will also undertake or assist in the research of community engagement initiatives of a broad spectrum of relevant local or overseas groups/organizations in the social services, arts and cultural sectors and to report its findings and trends.

**Key Responsibilities**

Planning
- Assist Assistant Head / Head, Customer & Community Engagement in planning and executing work plans in line with overall Community Engagement strategy.

Programme Management
- Conceptualise, co-ordinate and manage community workshops and flagship projects that are onsite, off-site and online, as well as virtual and onsite hostings of beneficiaries to ticketed as well as non-ticketed programmes at Esplanade.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with relevant organizations, institutions and groups, and community artists for community engagement efforts.
- Contract community artists to plan broad-based programmes and flagship projects.
- Identify, review and maintain information sources and database for the various community-related sectors.
- Research and build knowledge on the social services, arts and cultural sectors.

Accessibility
- Work with Assistant Head / Head, Customer & Community Engagement to coordinate duties in exploring, providing, and improving various facilities at Esplanade and programmes for persons with disabilities and senior citizens, as well as developing best practices for accessibility in the performing arts.

Budgeting & Admin
- To plan and put-up respective budgets and forecast, and to monitor actual costs and expenditure, including report writing and administration work related to the activities.

Learning Journeys, Speaking Engagements & Centre Tours
- To develop strategy to build extensive network of community partners and identify new collaboration opportunities.
- Lead in the co-ordination of Learning Journeys, Speaking Engagements, and the quarterly hosting of community partner networking events.
- Conduct centre tours which include but are not limited to visits by Social Service Agencies (SSAs) and community partners.

Impact Studies & Capability Building
- Support the development of project reports and presentation of relevant data for internal and external audiences, including the collection, preparation and reporting of data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Support the development and delivery of relevant activities such as working with Esplanade Academy to develop courses on relevant topics, engagement of target audiences in relevant project activities, organisation of convening events and workshops, communications materials.

**Job Requirements**
- Degree Holder
- At least 4 years’ relevant working experience in community and/or social service agencies.
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
- Analytical with the ability to problem solve, think outside the box and see different perspectives.
- Sufficient computer competency.
- Interest and experience with research and impact documentation will be an added advantage.
- Confident and with excellent presentation skills.
- Good command in second language is desirable. Fluency in both verbal and written English is important.
